Аутлет Лосиный остров
Modern view on shopping

About
We have developed a concept for the renovation of the existing shopping center located on Yaroslavskoye Highway, just 10 minutes by bus from VDNH. "Losiny Ostrov" is planned to be transformed into a high-quality outlet featuring mid-range and premium brands. The name is connected to the fact that the area borders the national park of the same name.

Idea
We started with an analysis of the typology of retail spaces and found that most of them tend to imitate village settings and shopping streets. This is a direct reference to street retail, where various shops and brands are concentrated. The bright variety of storefronts is driven by the desire to stand out from the rest. We utilized ideas of contrast between materials, diversity of forms, and made a reference to Losiny Ostrov National Park. When the first shops began to appear, they were usually located in renovated warehouses and other industrial buildings. Design didn't matter, and no one cared, as customers came for good deals. That is why we decided to emphasize the contrast between the desire to save money and the aspiration to acquire a quality brand with an appropriate level of service.

Interior
In the interior, we maintained a contrast between materials, shapes, and textures. The rough concrete surface harmonizes with the shiny brass details. Beautiful Scandinavian-style furniture stands on the industrial floor. Luxurious wooden finishes coexist with black metal elements.

Food court
The design of the food court is inspired by Losiny Ostrov National Park and is based on the concept of a chalet in the forest. We borrowed certain elements as sources of inspiration, such as a fireplace, a large communal table, chandeliers, and rugs. Warm tones and wooden elements prevail. Our goal is to create a cozy atmosphere where visitors can truly relax after a busy shopping experience. We adapted the existing cinema space and propose to utilize the height of the theaters to create a mezzanine for the food court, where an additional restaurant and seating areas can be accommodated.
