RUMA hotel
Khabarovsk Character on the Banks of the Amur

About the project
A hotel within the Brosko Mall multifunctional complex in Khabarovsk, located on Pionerskaya Street near the Amur embankment. The project brings together a hotel, retail spaces, an aqua park, fitness, SPA, a conference center, restaurants, and an accessible roof. The hotel and conference center have separate entrances from the main façade, while additional public scenarios open toward the river and the embankment. The hotel structure includes an open lobby, a restaurant, SPA, a club / bar with a summer terrace, a conference center with meeting rooms and a ballroom, standard rooms, suites, apartments, and a panoramic restaurant on the top floor.
Idea
The image of the complex is based on the metaphor of a gold nugget emerging from rock under the influence of water, wind, and sunlight. This idea connects the architecture with the natural context of Khabarovsk and the proximity of the Amur River. The hotel becomes the vertical dominant of the complex and an urban landmark, while the lower public levels form an active base with retail, recreational, and gastronomic functions. An important part of the project is to create not only a place to stay, but also a complete leisure scenario. The accessible roof, with pools, SPA, a restaurant, and viewing areas, works as an independent public space overlooking the Amur.

Architecture
The architectural composition is based on the separation of the hotel and shopping center volumes. The hotel becomes an expressive dominant of the complex, while the transparent lower levels maintain a connection with the street, the square, and the embankment. Atriums and escalators are organized along the main flows, connecting public spaces and preserving visibility through the retail galleries. The façades combine aluminum composite panels, sandwich panels, transparent glass, and porcelain stoneware. Shades of wet asphalt, matte silver, and Red Gold support the image of the “gold nugget.”

Roof
The roof works as a public recreational space with views of the Amur. It is connected to the city by an open staircase and becomes a separate route for visitors. It includes pools, SPA, restaurant and club areas, relaxation zones, and seasonal scenarios - from summer events to heated outdoor pools in winter. The roof becomes an independent space for leisure, entertainment, and views of the city and the river.
