Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye
Three Quarters, Three Life Scenarios

About the project
A residential environment located between dense urban development, a park, and the Moscow River embankment. The territory is divided into three directions: an urban quarter along the boulevard, a garden quarter in the central part of the site next to the park, and a riverside quarter by the river. Each quarter has its own character and life scenario, while together they form a unified environment where urban activity is combined with nature, recreation, and contemporary technological solutions.
Idea
At the core of the project is life surrounded by nature, combined with the use of new technologies. The concept is built on a balance between different contexts: the active city, the green park, and the embankment.

Concept
The project is organized as a system of three quarters, each with its own atmosphere. The urban quarter connects the green boulevard, the urban fabric, and public points of attraction. Its courtyard becomes a continuation of the central square and works as a multifunctional space with an urban character. The garden quarter is located closer to the park and brings greenery into its structure. Here, the courtyards become highly landscaped spaces with children’s and sports areas, rest zones, community gardens, greenhouses, and rooftop gardens. The riverside quarter is oriented toward the Moscow River embankment. Its structure opens views toward the water, connects the neighboring quarters with the recreational zone through internal streets, and uses terraced volumes to strengthen the relationship with the river.

Architecture
The architecture of each quarter responds to its position and role within the overall structure of the territory. The urban quarter has a more regular development pattern: the façades define the street frontage, frame the square, and support activity along the boulevard. In the garden quarter, the structure becomes freer and more “pixelated”: it opens toward the park and brings greenery into the courtyards. In the riverside quarter, terraced volumes and vertical accents complete the local streets and help open views toward the embankment. For the riverside quarter, the façade materials include natural stone, grey granite, aluminum composite panels, black metal, and glass railings.

Landscape
The landscape concept creates a calmer and greener environment within dense urban development. The urban courtyard is designed as a multifunctional space with children’s and sports areas, rest zones, an amphitheater, interactive areas, and flower beds. The garden courtyards create a feeling of suburban life: geoplastic elements structure the space, while community greenhouses and gardens are placed on the rooftops. The riverside courtyard is organized around an artificial water feature that reflects the façades and the sky. Residents of the ground floors have private terraces with access to the water and small front gardens with micro-gardens. The project also includes sustainable solutions: solar energy, rainwater collection, reuse of materials, year-round landscaping, and hardy local plants.
