About the project

A hotel complex in Kaluga, located on the northern bank of the Oka River, along the main route from Moscow to the city center. The project was developed in the Accor format and brings together an Ibis hotel, an Adagio aparthotel, and a retail section on the ground floor. The complex includes 160 Ibis rooms and 129 Adagio rooms. The materials also indicate a total area of 18,000 sq m.

01

Idea

The site is located next to important city landmarks - the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin on the Kaluzhka River and the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics. For this reason, the project does not seek to dominate its surroundings. Only part of the building is designed as a tower, while the remaining rooms are located in lower volumes. This approach helps integrate the complex into the existing urban environment and preserve the scale of the surroundings.

02

Architecture

The complex consists of three parts: the Ibis tower, the Adagio block, and the retail section on the ground floor. The restaurant and conference areas are also located on the ground floor. More than half of the rooms are oriented toward the Oka River and the opposite embankment. The façade colors and materials are selected in a calm palette close to the surrounding development. Convenient access to the building is provided from all sides.
