The 'Obydenensky No. 1' house is a wonderful and very interesting experience for Blank Architects in working with historical, or let's say, 'classical' styles. It is located in a quiet alley, near a temple, surrounded by buildings from different eras: from classicism and historicism to modernism. Moreover, it is situated in the 'Golden Mile,' the Ostozhenka district – one of the most prestigious areas in Moscow. This is a club house – a type of expensive elite residence in the city center. The client's wish was for architecture in the classical direction; this was dictated by the surroundings and the fact that the architectural and stylistic solution of the early 20th-century facade will be preserved within the complex.
